The Neiken's w/Courtney (Jon-Erik's girlfriend)
How cute is this? (it's minus Elizabeth though)
The Fo'Zaglia's
Christian w/Erik and Ada during half time on Senior night
Erik in the stands after seeing his family:)So this past weekend was busy with Neikens's Festivities. Friday 11/7 was Erik's (42nd-had to throw that in there) Birthday and also Christian's Senior Night. In preparation for this, Erik's Family came into to town to surprise him. Jon-Erik flew up the week before and then on Friday Sheri, Marty and Courtney (Jon-Erik's girlfriend) flew in. Erik's sister Kim and her family also drove over from Virginia. All to surprise Erik for his (42nd, just so we are clear) birthday. So all of the family met here at our house and from here went to Christian's game and sat in the stands to surprise the family. We pulled it off, no one suspected anything. So as Ada, Erik, Daniel, and Elizabeth came into the stands they were each surprised with family awaiting them. At half time we yelled our heads off and Christian finally looked up and saw everyone. He gave a quick (rare) smile in acknowledgement and continued to play the game.
We went to several parks over the weekend the family was here and the weather was beautiful. Almost all the leaves are off the trees but a lot were still on while they were here so we took pictures and enjoyed the outdoors.
On a side note: Christian is doing great playing football. He was the player of the week two weeks ago in the paper and is getting so much play time. He has been on TV every week up here on Football Friday (a recap of the high school games) and we are so proud of him. He is shining this year! You can check out this weeks Friday Football recap at http://www.highschoolot.com/ click on the Tri-Eight tab on the left then click on Fuquay-Varina then under the picture (which is Christian) click on the Terry-Sanford vs. Fuquay-Varina video, Christian is #21. It was a good night for him:)
