The day of her party the kids actually had to go to school, yes on Saturday, for a snow make-up day. It was only for 3hrs so I picked up Kelly and two of her friends from school and we went to McDonald's for lunch where a 3rd friend joined us. After McDonald's we went to a place called Crazy Glaze and painted some pottery. Then we came back to our house and had cake and opened presents.
Kelly has had a Birthday list on the fridge for about a month, mostly containing Webkinz and DS games. She did have an MP3 player on there but I told her that wasn't going to happen because they were just too expensive. Taylor got one for Christmas but it was on sale and that is how I rationalized it. However, my Dad did get Kelly an MP3 player and she was beside herself. She opened it, looked at it, started to giggle then held it to her chest and put here head down. When she brought her head up she was smiling but tears were coming down her eyes. She was caught somewhere between tears and laughter. She just didn't think she would get it. That is what it's all about my friends. Needless to say, she had a great day.
